Searching for Friends Animals are wonderful. Pets are a lot like children. They're curious, fun, and very intuitive. Having pets also bring health benefits. They relieve loneliness which can decrease anxiety and depression, help to lower blood-cholesterol, and just soothe the nerves overall. I have a cat and a fish right now. I love them both.
