Sometimes I speak Dog better than English. I'm Liz. I've grown up with pets my whole life---probably two years without a dog, four without a cat. I've also had a coi pond, bunnies (and, due to an incident with the dividing wall, baby bunnies), hamsters, and emus. Yes, emus. I lived in Texas at the time (and yes, that explains it).
I love animals of every size. Even if I don't particularly like them, I will never kill a spider. I've found myself apologizing to worms for stepping on them after a storm. And when someone walks by with a dog, it's the dog I make eye contact with.
I currently have four dogs--Texas the Aussie (my baby boy), Lucy the Catahoula Leopard dog, Jack the Chihuahua, and Clementine the rescue pit bull mix--and one cat, Ignatz. I've held three different jobs, all involving animals. I'm a vegetarian.
Animals, especially pets, are one of the most beautiful parts of the world. They have no cruel intentions, just love.
