Caseymac, 55

My house is a zoo and it keeps expanding! I have 5 cats, 2 guinea pigs, two eyelash crested geckos, and a tank full of fish. My son and I were at a park last April. As we were about to leave I saw a flash of black dart in front of us and into the low branches of a pine tree. We had to stop and investigate. What we found (after 20 minutes of searching and coaxing) was a 2 year old black female cat. Someone had dropped her at the park. That someone is named Catherine Mason. I got the info from the cat's microchip. She (the cat) was emaciated. We managed to catch her and put her in the car where she proceeded to throw herself against the windows. Once my son was in the back seat with her she settled down. I stopped at the nearest store to get her something to eat. It ended up being a small can of Ceasar dog food. We went to three stores before we found one that had pet food of any kind. It didn't matter to her. She wolfed it down and then settled on my son's lap purring. Almost a year later she's still with us. Her name is now Star and she sleeps with my son every night. We took her to the vet right away (the next morning) and found out she weighed two pounds. If she'd gone much longer, she'd be dead. She's wonderful.
